Being born premature at one pound and five ounces, life has taught me that nothing comes easy, that you have to work hard to succeed, and don't take things for granted. I bring this mentality to my work by always giving my best, aiming to go beyond meeting expectations, and “putting the bow on it.” This is also why I included the quote, “Never tell me the odds.” Besides being from one of my favorite movie franchises, it has always spoken to me as I have truly beaten the odds to get to where I am today.
As a recent graduate from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a
Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, I am currently looking to find a permanent position as a software or web developer. I also have some experience with Microsoft's power platform and teaching experience as well.
Since graduating, I have been working in a term position with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. In this role, I have been a part of their IT team working with other members of the organisation on various projects. I’ve worked with different departments to automate and improve various process, create digital forms to replace paper ones and helped plan and develop the organization’s new website with an external vendor. This position has given me valuable real world experience working in IT and as part of a larger organization.
On this website you will find a summary
of my qualifications, information on some work I have produced, and how to play them yourself so you can see my work firsthand.
There are also links to my GitHub where you can see the code for most of the projects on this site (and a few others which aren't on the site)
and my LinkedIn page. I've included my email, so if you have any questions or want to talk about my work, please reach out!
(Email is probably the best way to reach me.)
